Submersible Pumps: When selecting a submersible pump for your borehole or shallow well, there are three key factors to consider.
The Depth of the Well/Borehole.
Pumps are designed to perform differently at different depths. The depth of your well or borehole will determine which pump model is most suitable.
The Expected Flow
Understanding water use and water demand will help in designing a pump with the correct flow rate. Submersible for commercial water supply is likely to have a higher flow rate at a given depth compared to a pump delivering water to a single user.
Submersible pumps can run on grid power or solar power. While some good pumps are designed to run on solar, other submersible pumps can also be designed to run on grid power and solar too. A hybrid system is able to run on grid power and solar power.
There are other factors to consider, but today we focus on the three.
