Grundfos Hydro EN 12845 Firesets

Grundfos Hydro EN firesets for automatic sprinkler systems are made in compliance with the requirements of BS
EN 12845. Hydro EN-Y comprises of a duty electric pump, standby diesel-driven pump, and jockey. Other configurions such as dual electric or 2 diesel sets area available on order.
For hydrant systems, an automatic stop function is always included and can be activated by the user if needed.
All components are designed for nominal pressure PN16.

Hydro EN-Y main components:
1 No. duty electrically driven single-stage horizontal centrifugal pump with back-pull-out construction. The
pump is coupled to the motor through a spacer coupling that allows maintenance operations on the internal
parts of the pump without affecting suc on or discharge piping (As per paragraph 10.1 of EN 12845)*.
1 No. stand-by diesel-driven single-stage horizontal centrifugal pump with back-pull-out construction. The diesel
engine operates at full load with a rated continuous power output in accordance with ISO 3046 (10.9.1)*. In
compliance EN 12845, all diesel-driven pumps are factory-tested and accompanied by a test report.
1 No. Fuel tank volume with sufficient capacity to enable the engine to run on full load for 6 hours (10.9.6)*; the
fuel tank is equipped with a containment basin and connection for the vent pipe.
2 no. batteries (12V DC) to guarantee the start of the diesel engine; each battery is provided with an independent, continuously connected, fully automatic, constant potential charger (10.9.9)*.
1 no. electric jockey pump Grundfos CR or CM type complete with pressure vessels to reduce the number of starts.
1 no. EPC 300 SD control panel for electrically driven pump equipped with fuses, an ammeter, main switch, oper
a on mode selector TEST-0-AUT with the removable key in AUT posi on and manual Start / Stop bu ons, pressure switch 1 Test; pressure switch 2 Test; LEDs for signal test bu on, power not available, pump on demand,
pump running, power available to the motor, start failure all according to EN 12845 paragraph (10.8.5.1) Output signals are available for remote monitoring (10.8.6.1)/BMS.
1 no. Stand-by Diesel Driven Pump Control Panel with Independent battery chargers for each battery (10.9.9)
TEST-0-AUT mode selector, Start / Stop bu ons, diesel engine manual star ng on battery 1 or 2, protected
by the glass (10.9.7.3); warning lights and LCD 62×25 mm with 4 rows and 16 digits for simultaneous displays with parameters readable in low-light conditions. LED indicators for battery charger or battery failure,
control panel failure; low oil pressure; high engine temperature; fuel reserve; failed engine start; automatic
start disabled; pump on, mains on; pressure switch test bu on, alarms signaling and visualization.
An exhaust silencer is included in the scope of supply, diesel spares kit, flow meter kit, priming tank kit, remote
alarm panels are available on request.
