Reverse Osmosis is a reliable technology for the removal of dissolved solids in water. The BWRO Series of reverse osmosis systems are designed to produce highly purified water from various sources including brackish borehole water or water from
surface sources. The system utilizes high-efficiency reverse osmosis membranes and FRP membrane housings. Depending on
water quality, a pre-treatment process may be recommended. This will include a carbon filter to remove chlorine if present,
a softener or antiscalant to reduce scaling in membranes or filtration to reduce turbidity.
Key features include:
· 4” or 8” RO membranes to suit water quality,
· Fibreglass membrane housing pressure vessels,
· 5 micron 20” cartridge filters and housings,
· High-pressure stainless steel RO pump,
· Permeate flow meter, Liquid filled pressure gauges to monitor system pressure
· Corrosion resistant materials on high pressure side.
System Parameters:
Flow rate 0.5 to 16M3/hr,
TDS of 1000 to 5000ppm,
Operating pressure upto 16 bar,
Minimum feed pressure 3 bar,
Rejection 95-98%, Recovery range
Equipment Specification

Note: Higher flow systems are available on request.
Typical System Layout

Typical system layout consist of prefilters, a high pressure pump for RO feed, array of RO membrane stages to achieve
required output. A control panel to monitor output water quality and hydraulic characteristics is also incorporated. Additional water pretreatment may require a pretreatment stage to be advised upon water analysis. Other components
will include dosing of antiscalant and storage of membrane regeneration chemicals. Final design of a system is done with reference to chemical analysis of water.
