VARIABLE SPEED BOOSTER SETS– HYDRO MULTI E

The Grundfos Hydro Multi E systems consist of one (Solo E) , 2 or 3 identical CRIE pumps connected in parallel and mounted
on a common base frame provided with a control cabinet and all the necessary fiƫngs including an appropriately sized pressure
vessel. All parts in contact with water are made from stainless steel including the suction manifold and discharge manifold.
The option of Cast Iron parts is available. Each pump is fixed with an isolating valve and a non-return valve on the discharge side.
The pumps of the booster system can be removed without interfering with the pipework on either side of the manifolds.
Pumps are electronically speed-controlled via an integrated speed drive connected to a high-efficiency IE5 Grundfos Blueflux
motor.

SYSTEM OPERATION
Sensors in the delivery pipe monitor system pressure and adjust speed to provide the demanded flow at the constant pre-set
pressure. Pumps operate in parallel with the second pump cuƫng in as demand rises thus ensuring maximum efficiency operation, extended pump life, and silent running. The pump-mounted system controller features a digital display, and system fault indicator
lights and provides for pump sequence control ensuring that system demand is met in the most efficient way as well as an
auto pump changeover to equalize operating hours. Dry run protection by addition of float switch with selectable auto restart.
Protection functions include the max number of starts per hour, minimum cycle times, overpressure, and motor over current.

Pressurized systems in blocks of flats, hotels, office blocks, and schools. Pumped liquid is thin, chemically non-aggressive water,
free of impurities, temperature range 5-60⁰C

BMS COMMUNICATION MODULES
Communication modules for BMS compatibility are offered as optional extras for Hydro Multi E units. These include, but not
limited to, Modbus, BacNET, Profibus communication interface modules.
